    Description

On her long-awaited debut Big Dreaming Ants, Nana Adjoa carelessly reconciles a surfeit of sounds and subjects. Pop music that does not shy away from the experiment and yet sounds intimate, warm and approachable to the listener. The songs seem to come almost from the loose wrist, but secretly contain an exciting and rich instrumentation. Styles such as folk, pop, electronics, soul, indie rock and afrobeat are all part of Adjoa's unique vocabulary. Each track reflects on a very specific feeling or situation. No Room teeing on the phenomenon of small talk, Throw Stones she wrote to her own anger to calm online interactions. In Lesser Light Pollution takes inspiration from the ubiquity of the moon, and the consolation that the person you miss the most is also looking at the same object in amazement at that moment.
